Recent global disruptions, including COVID-19, economic downturns, and trade tensions, have highlighted the critical yet fragile nature of global supply chains. The Automotive Supply Chain Programme in Thailand supports these efforts by harnessing opportunities to improve human capital, decent work and responsible business in the country’s leading export sector.

Funded by the Government of Japan, the ILO-Japan’s ‘Automotive Supply Chain Programme in Thailand’ will help the industry address labour risks and adapt to evolving supply chain requirements, whilst also seizing opportunities for skills upgrading amid rapid technological transformation. By providing integrated support both for human capital development and supply chain resilience, the programme will help the industry adapt and thrive amid future of work challenges, with decent work at its core.The Programme comprises of two interlinked and complementary projects:
1. Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Supply Chains Asia (RISSC) in Thailand
The project aims to build a more resilient & sustainable automotive manufacturing supply chain by addressing human & labour rights risks, while expanding decent work & responsible business practices throughout the sector.
2. Skills Development & Responsible Business Conduct for Just Transition (SKILLS) in Thailand
The project aims to provide skills development of workers, promote responsible business conduct (RBC), and promote an environment that contributes to a transition to resilient value chains.
