Curaçao
Curaçao is member of the ILO through its territorial ties with the Kingdom of the Netherlands (a founding member of the ILO since 28 June 1919). Curaçao is subject to the ratification and application of key ILO Conventions extended to the country through these ties with the Netherlands.
ILO’s recent capacity building and technical assistance in the country focused on inclusive labour migration and the elimination of skills deficits for migrants and host communities, as well as training for youth entrepreneurs in business planning, digital innovation and inclusion and green business. The ILO will continue to work on strengthening the capacities of these business trainers, particularly attending to the multiple needs of vulnerable groups and will create a Business Trainers Network with continuous access to updated tools and approaches to increase the effectiveness of training and business coaching for vulnerable groups.
