US$ 89.3 million
Contributions from governments to projects in their country totalled US$ 89.3 million in 2022-23.
26 countries
Currently, 26 governments allocate domestic funding towards projects in their own countries.
While Official Development Assistance (ODA) can offer an important impetus and enable the ILO to provide significant technical support to a country, it is ultimately the dedication of the ILO’s constituents and the allocation of domestic financial resources that are pivotal in attaining national Decent Work objectives. This holds particularly true for Middle Income Countries. An increasing number of ILO member States dedicate resources from their own public budgets to collaborate with the ILO. Typically, these funds are directed towards the nation’s policy priorities as set forth in the Decent Work Country Programmes.
