Eastern Europe and Central Asia
The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia represents the International Labour Organization (ILO) and ensures that its core priorities and interests, policies and experience are disseminated among key stakeholders in nine countries – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The primary goal of the ILO is to promote opportunities for women and men to obtain decent and productive work, in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity.
The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia has worked in Moscow since 1959.
The mission of the ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia is to have a strong, visible, and proactive presence in the subregion in order to effectively facilitate and support social dialogue between governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations, build partnerships with international institutions – with a purpose of promoting decent work and social justice.
