Gambia
The Gambia has been a member of the ILO since 1995 and has currently ratified 8 of the ILO Fundamental Conventions. Today, the country receives ILO technical and financial assistance for the promotion of rights at work, to encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues. ILO activities in the country are coordinated by the ILO Decent Work Team for West Africa and Country Office for Senegal, Cabo Verde, the Gambia, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau, based in Dakar.
