Global Dialogue Forum on Employment Relationships in Retail Commerce: Their impact on Decent Work and Competitiveness
The tripartite participants discussed how the diversification of employment relationships in retail commerce is impacting decent work and the competitiveness of the enterprises in the sector.
The purpose of the Forum was to allow the tripartite participants to discuss how the diversification of employment relationships in retail commerce is impacting decent work and the competitiveness of the enterprises in the sector, with a view to developing consensus on the way forward.
The Forum brought together participants from Governments of all ILO member States that wished to attend, and eight Employer participants and eight Worker participants nominated by the Employers’ group and the Workers’ group of the Governing Body, respectively. Certain intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations were also be invited to attend the Forum as observers.
The Forum adopted points of consensus.
