Japan has been a founding Member State of the ILO since 1919 and a valued partner in promoting the Decent Work Agenda. Since its establishment in 1924, the ILO Office for Japan represents the ILO and ensures its core priorities and policies are disseminated among constituents, partners, and Japanese society.
