Portugal is a key partner of the ILO in advancing decent work and social justice worldwide.
The ILO works closely with the Portuguese Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security on strengthening social protection systems in Africa and Asia and the Pacific.
Furthermore, the ILO benefits from the Portuguese expertise through the country’s participation in the Junior Professional Officer programme.
