Viet Nam
On 20 May 1992, Viet Nam rejoined the ILO. The ILO Country Office was established in Hanoi in 2003 and remains among one of the organization's biggest country offices. The main aims of the ILO in Viet Nam are to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection, and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
Through extensive tripartite consultations, the Government of Viet Nam and social partners have developed Viet Nam's Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) covering the period 2022-26, which provides the overall framework for collaboration with the ILO.
